Commissions
Steps to commissioning a portrait from me:
1. Contact me by email ([email protected]) or by using the mailform. I'll try to answer all your questions, so ask away. Email me your reference photo/s (please see below for photo requirements)
2. After we've finalized the size and portrait style and you've agreed to commission policies, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit before any work starts.
3. Once I start your portrait, progress pictures will be emailed to you, and/or posted on instagram (@quibcollection) and facebook.com/quibillustrations. The final drawing will be added to my site's gallery. (Please notify me beforehand if you want all this for your private viewing only)
4. I will email you a digital copy of the completed portrait for your approval. At this time, you may notify me of minor changes you would like done. Competed artwork will be sprayed with a fixative, but, I suggest putting it under glass and in a frame as soon as you receive it.
5. After you've approved the completed portrait, please send the remaining balance (plus shipping/handling costs) via paypal. After final payment clears, artwork will be packaged in a clear cello sleeve, backing board and rigid envelope and will be shipped to you (see shipping policies below)

PORTRAIT STYLES AND MEDIA USED:
• Black & White (classic and traditional portrait drawn with graphite, charcoal and/or ink
• Stylized/Contemporary (see gallery for samples of my fashion illustrations. This is usually a black & white portrait embellished with a hint of color to enhance certain features.
• Colored (traditional portrait using mixed media: colored pencils, pastel pencils, panpastel)
Papers:
Strathmore Bristol or Vellum Bristol (Acid Free)
Strathmore Tonal Paper (Acid Free)
*All artwork will be coated with an acid-free matte fixative to prevent smudging and fading.
*Finished artwork will be signed and dated (year) on the front
ESTIMATED TIME OF COMPLETION:
Depending on my current workload, one portrait can be completed in 2 - 4 weeks. If you want a portrait for a certain time, please plan ahead and order in advance. I pay great attention to detail to get my portraits look realistic and expressive, and this requires enough time to make sure this is achieved. This also ensures you are happy and satisfied with the outcome.

To keep costs down, I ship USPS First Class International. Please notify me if you want your shipment expedited. Customer is responsible for all s/h costs, any and all customs and duty fees.
REFUND POLICY:
It is always my goal to put my labor of love in all my artwork. I try my best to capture the likeness of my subjects and translate that to paper. But, if after you’ve received your artwork and have lived with it for a week, and you are absolutely not happy, you can return the artwork to me and I will refund your money (minus the non-refundable deposit and shipping/handling fees). Customer is responsible for return shipping fees.
*Please remember that you will be updated with progress pictures and you send your final payment only after you are completely satisfied and approve of the digital scan of the completed artwork.
